Newton eTrailer Trailer Dynamics offers a complete solution concept for trucks transporting goods over long distances by installing an additional electric drive in the trailer.
The Newton eTrailer electric start transmission system upgrades traditional tractors as a plug-and-play module. It assists vehicles both when starting from a standstill and when climbing.
The electric transmission also recovers energy during braking and uses it to support the tractor's electrical systems. This reduces overall fuel consumption in logistics transport, reducing operating costs and carbon dioxide emissions.
Scalability
As part of the entire semitrailer system, the Newton eTrailer electrified powertrain makes intelligent and optimal use of available electrical energy to significantly reduce diesel emissions and CO₂ emissions in the logistics of trade, industry and forwarders. The first step is to look at the existing fleet of diesel semi-trailer systems on the market to incorporate them into a low-emission, compliant logistics system.
